ABOUT ME

Kate Morgan, MSW

(She/Hers)

Hello, my name is Kate. I am a mother, partner, daughter, sister, friend, teacher, healer, caretaker, activist, abolitionist, community-builder, animal- lover, way-maker, tarot-reader, ritual-creator, and student-of-nature. Originally from the purple, hazy sunsets and cornfields of the Midwest, I now live on the unceded and occupied lands of the Tohono O'odham peoples. This is my chosen home, and I have no desire to be anywhere else.

I have worked in higher education, the non-profit sector, and in public health.  My decision to pursue a Master's in Social Work stemed from my desire to understand how individuals can heal from trauma, as well as how we can collectively heal as a community. As Bell Hooks said, “Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion.”

I work with individuals interested in exploring ways to address trauma and grief, both as they manifest in our minds and also in our bodies. I am deeply passionate about supporting parents, regardless of where they are on their journey—whether you are contemplating becoming a parent, experiencing difficulties in trying to conceive, dealing with perinatal or postpartum anxiety or depression, or feeling overwhelmed during the tender early years of caregiving for small children.

“Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion.” -Bell Hooks, All About Love.
