You might be curious about what it's like to work with me, especially if this is your first time reaching out for support. 

The first step is a free 15-minute consultation call where we can briefly get to know one another. During this call, you can ask me anything you'd like, and I'll ask questions to understand what you would like to focus on or work through. If you feel interested in continuing, we can schedule an appointment.

In our initial sessions, we will spend time getting to know each other, which will typically involve traditional talk therapy or psychoanalytic approaches.

As our relationship deepens, I may introduce a somatic approach to healing. Somatic therapy addresses the connection between the mind and body, focusing on how trauma is stored in the body and how physical sensations relate to emotional experiences. This "bottom-up and inside-out" approach is holistic and aims to address the physical patterns that have developed as a result of trauma. We achieve this by tracking nervous system responses and observing body language, including gestures, breathing, eye contact, and patterns of tension in the body.

We can meet in my office, online, or even outside. I belong to a community garden that is available, or we can walk and talk at a location of your choosing. Nature can be incredibly healing; exposure to green spaces has been shown to lower cortisol levels, reduce blood pressure, and promote relaxation. Strolling through a park or sitting beneath the canopy of trees can greatly help in calming the mind and body.

Scheduling

I am a parent to two small children and as such my availability aligns with their school schedule. Scheduling availability is as follows:

M-F: 9AM-1PM

2nd & 4th Saturdays of the month: 10AM-1PM
